Cut your belt into squares. I did 5 but you can cut how ever many you wish to add to your necklace. (Set aside)
2. Next take your bandana/hankerchief/fabric and make a pattern. It really doesn't matter what kind. I just went with a simple half circle. Make sure to have 2 patterns of the same size.
3. Using the same fabric (or you can use a ribbon) to make to strips about 12-16 inches in length. Or have ever long you want. You have to make sure they're long enough to tie around your neck.
4. Now take one piece of your pattern and flip it over, glue each strip to the back. Next glue your other pattern right on top to conceal the strips of fabric or ribbon that may be exposed.
5. Figure out the placement of your studded squares, glue them in place!
The fabric I used was too thin and frayed easily, I suggest using something thicker, like felt. 6. If you prefer, trim the excess fabric. Like so... NOW IT'S READY TO ROCK!! |
